About
Thomas Workman, Ph.D. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where he leads the production unit for the John M. Eisenberg Clinical Communications and Decisions Science Center, and at the University of Houston-Downtown, where he teaches and researches in the area of Health Communication. Since 1999, Tom served as the Communications Coordinator for NU Directions, and was honored in 2009 along with his colleague Linda Major with the Facilitator's Award at the Higher Education Law and Policy Conference at Stetson University for their work reducing high-risk alcohol consumption and related problems at the University of Nebraska-Lincon. Tom is the the National Chair of the Alcohol and Other Drug Knowledge Community for NASPA, and currently serves on the Review Board of the Higher Education Center, the Council of Advisors for The Network Addressing Alcohol and Other Drug Issues, the Advisory Board for the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy, and the Board of Directors for the ManKind Project in Houston.
