About
Dr. Chiquillo graduated with a PhD in Spanish and Spanish American Literature and Language from the University of Virginia in 2001. Her study fields are: 19th C. Spanish America, 20th C. Spanish America, Central American Poetry, 20th C. Spain. She has published articles on Roque Dalton (1), Antonio Cisneros (2), Luis García Montero (1) and David Escobar Galindo (1). Dr. Chiquillo is currently working on the poetry of Manlio Argueta and defining the Salvadoran vanguardia. Dr. Chiquillo also serves as a reader for the journal Hispania.
